my story

Cakes by Britney started as a hobby in 2015 after taking a cake decorating class and watching way too many episodes of Cake Boss. I fell in love with creating art out of sugar. I started taking orders from family and friends but eventually was getting requests from everyone celebrating a life event that wanted something sweet to add.

I try to balance my love for baking with a full-time job which means I limit the number of orders I take, ensuring I bake passion into every order I take.  Because my time is limited, I need as much notice as possible for all custom orders, especially if it requires something I need to order! You would be surprised at all of the tools I already own, but that doesn't mean I have everything on hand, all the time. I specialize in cakes and cupcakes to ensure I can provide the highest quality work possible!

I am an overall artistic person who loves creating anything with my hands. I love seeing something materialize from nothing and being able to say I made that. 

 

This includes painting my own wedding dress. From start to finish, this piece took 5 months and is still one of the pieces I am most proud of. I also created my own dessert table for my wedding. This includes a 3 tier cake, a variety of macarons, and chocolate confetti cookies. I hired Cookies & Sweets by J for the amazing sugar cookies.
